Project description

The real estate company wbg Nürnberg GmbH is implementing the construction project “New construction of a student residence - House of Athletes” on Ursula Wolfring-Straße, opposite the Bertolt Brecht School in Nuremberg Langwasser. This is a residence specifically for young competitive athletes aged 14 to 18 who are pursuing their athletic training far from home. The aim is to offer these young people not only a home, but also a supportive and safe environment that is tailored to their specific needs.

The residence will offer space for up to 117 residents in 60 double rooms with private bathrooms. The facilities are complemented by common areas with kitchens, lounge and study areas, as well as a roof terrace and an outdoor terrace adjacent to the central dining room. In addition to three barrier-free, wheelchair-accessible comfort rooms for single occupancy, four further barrier-free, wheelchair-accessible rooms are available.

The ground floor houses the administration offices and the offices of the educational staff who support the young people in their everyday lives. The result is not only a place to live, but also a space for personal development, cohesion, and perspective—for young people with big sporting goals.
