The “bewegt.wohnen” project offers wbg tenants an attractive mobility concept as an alternative to their own cars: It combines public transport and rental bikes and additionally offers the possibility to save time and money!

bewegt.wohnen is a joint project of wbg Nürnberg GmbH Immobilienunternehmen in cooperation with VAG Verkehrs-Aktiengesellschaft. The aim of the mobility concept is to strengthen local public transport and the use of cycle stations. As part of the mobility project, wbg tenants benefit from advantages for an annual subscription, including 600 free minutes/month for VAG_Rad bike rentals from book-n-drive at a low price.
As numerous studies show, it’s cheaper to switch from your own car to another mean of transport, if you drive less than 10,000 km per year. For most inner-city trips, the annual VAG subscription is cheaper and more environmentally friendly in relation to owning a car.

VAG bike station directly opposite our NordWest Customer Centre at the “Westfriedhof” tram stop
Sündersbühl
VAG bike station at the Sündersbühl underground stop (U3) next to the underground entrance on Bertha-von-Suttner-Straße (Bertha-von-Suttner-Straße / corner of Rothenburger Straße)
Mögeldorf
VAG bike station on Ostendstraße / corner of Wagenseilstraße
Nordostbahnhof
VAG_Rad-Station on Leipziger-Straße / Ecke Plauener Straße
Gibitzenhof

Extended area for the VAG_Rad
With a total of 2,250 VAG_Räder you can now also travel in an extended area. The bikes can travel beyond the city limits of Nuremberg as far as Erlangen and Fürth. There are also corresponding flex zones here.

When travelling by public transport

- receive 600 free minutes for the use of VAG bikes/ VAG cargo bikes if you have an annual season ticket
Prices
For journeys with the VAG_Rad
- a 10 cent ‘start fee’ applies for each rental (also for subscribers)
- in addition, non-subscribers will be charged 10 cents/minute for use and if the 600 free minutes are exceeded
