Our feathered lodger: The kestrel
In consultation with the City of Nuremberg’s Environmental Office, we were permitted to set up a nesting site in the attic of one of our residential buildings for a pair of kestrels that return every year during the breeding season. Every spring, you can watch our kestrels nesting via a webcam.
This year (2026), the pair of kestrels has returned to its nesting site once again and raised four chicks. Unfortunately, the live stream is currently unavailable due to a technical glitch. To protect the birds, the necessary repairs to the cameras will not be carried out until the chicks have fledged. More.
