As part of the Langwasser Süd neighborhood plan, the aging existing structure (ground floor through the 4th floor) will be renovated, and new living space will be created through the addition of new floors (5th and 6th floors) using timber construction. The construction project is part of the objectives within the planned housing development programs and represents the continuation of the INSEK (Integrated Neighborhood Development Concept) in accordance with the city’s guidelines.
The renovation, which includes a two-story addition, is planned to include 28 residential units and 1,623 m² of living space. The new construction portion is barrier-free, and an elevator complements the overall concept.
The building is located southeast of Nuremberg’s city center in the Langwasser Süd neighborhood, a prototypical satellite town. Access is via Glogauer Straße into Reinerzer Straße. The property is situated in the heart of the wbg housing development from the 1950s. It is set back slightly from Reinerzer Straße on the right-hand side of the street.
After implementing the KfW EH70 measure for the entire building.
The work will be carried out in an occupied building.
