This project involves an energy-efficient renovation of the existing building, including the addition of elevators. Six new residential units will also be created by adding a new floor. The existing building, which currently has 32 apartments, will be stripped back to near-shell condition and undergo energy-efficient modernization (to minimize energy consumption). In place of the existing attic, a new, additional residential floor will be built, featuring two 4-bedroom, two 3-bedroom, and two 2-bedroom apartments. The apartment building will thus have 38 privately financed apartments across five floors. To facilitate access to the apartments, new elevators will be installed.
Söderblomstraße is located in the Sündersbühl neighborhood.
Energy-Efficient Historic Building
Due to the preservation of the architectural ensemble, the building will be reconstructed in its entirety using the original colors and architectural style of the 1960s.
