Modernisation 16–22 Söderblomstraße

Project description

This project involves the energy-efficient retrofitting of the existing buildings. In addition, seven new apartments will be created by adding a new floor.

The existing buildings, which contain six 2-bedroom apartments, 12 3-bedroom apartments, and six 4-bedroom apartments, will undergo energy-efficient retrofitting (to reduce energy consumption), and the entire building services infrastructure (technical building systems such as heating and ventilation), including the bathrooms, will be replaced. In place of the existing attic, a new, additional residential floor will be built, featuring one 4-room, two 3-room, and four 2-room apartments. The apartment buildings will thus have 31 privately financed apartments across four floors in the future.

Location

Söderblomstraße is located in the Sündersbühl neighborhood. The apartment buildings are situated within the Parkwohnanlage West (PWA) complex, which is protected as a historic ensemble. They are part of the overall neighborhood plan, which includes renovation with additional stories, modernization with additional stories, basic modernization, and new construction.
