Modernisation 4–14 Söderblomstraße

Project description

This project involves an energy-efficiency retrofit of the existing buildings. In addition, seven new apartments will be created by adding a new floor.

The existing buildings, which contain 36 apartments, will undergo energy-efficiency upgrades (to reduce energy consumption), and the entire building services infrastructure (such as heating and ventilation systems), including the bathrooms, will be replaced. In place of the existing attic, a new, additional residential floor will be built, featuring one 4-bedroom, two 3-bedroom, and eight 2-bedroom apartments. The apartment buildings will thus have 47 privately financed apartments across four floors in the future.

Location

Söderblomstraße is located in the Sündersbühl neighborhood. The apartment buildings are situated within the Parkwohnanlage West (PWA) complex, which is designated as a protected architectural ensemble. They are part of the overall neighborhood plan, which includes renovation with additional stories, modernization with additional stories, basic modernization, and new construction.

Special features

Due to the preservation of the architectural ensemble, the building will be reconstructed in its entirety using the original colors and architectural style of the 1960s.
