The wbg 2000 Foundation in detail

The non-profit foundation was established by wbg on July 10, 2000. The occasion was the 950th anniversary of the first documented mention of the city of Nuremberg. With the approval of the government of Middle Franconia, which District Administrator Karl Inhofer presented to the then managing directors Peter H. Richter and Ernst Voigt on July 14, 2000, the wbg 2000 foundation became legally competent. It is a non-profit foundation under civil law.

The foundation's governing bodies are the foundation advisory board and the foundation board of directors. The city of Nuremberg can propose up to five members for the foundation advisory board. Two additional members are appointed by the founder or his legal successor.
