5,000 euros will go to CISS e. V., a Christian initiative for prisoners and ex-offenders, for the purchase of kitchen appliances for the kitchen of a residential community in which around 30 former prisoners and caregivers live. The cheque was accepted by the first chairwoman, Prof. Dr. Margareta Klinger, and the deputy chairman, Stefan Hagl.
INTEGRAL e. V. receives 4,000 euros for a new professional dishwasher for the leisure and meeting rooms for people with and without disabilities in Gibitzenhof. Social education worker Günter Frank is delighted with the cheque.
AURA Nürnberg e. V. receives 3,000 euros for a new brand identity to better address its target groups in future. The focus is particularly on women and girls with and without disabilities, who are to be trained on the topics of “self-empowerment - self-assertion - self-defense”. Kinderzentrum Kunterbunt gGmbH has received a grant of 3,000 euros for an “active exercise garden” at the Stadtpiraten daycare center. The aim is to awaken the children's urge to exercise and reduce the alarming obesity rate. Constanze Pudenz, Fundraising, PR & Corporate Communications employee, accepts the donation cheque.
2,400 euros will be used to renovate the fireplace at the Gostenhof active playground. Aktivspielplatz Gostenhof e. V. is the operator of the facility and receives an operating subsidy from the City of Nuremberg to cover running costs. Such investments are not included. The aim is to enable as heterogeneous a group as possible to exchange ideas about social cohesion and to help shape their social space in a self-determined way. 2,000 euros will go to the Gostner Hoftheater e. V. for its own production “Kohlhaas - Das Recht bin ich”. The Gostner Hoftheater's youth production is based on the novella by Heinrich Kleist and deals with the topic of law and justice. Theater teacher Amelie Hetterich is delighted with the grant.
The ISKA, Institute for Social and Cultural Work, receives 2,000 euros for KOLEO. KOLEO is an open space that can be rented at low cost by initiatives from the social and cultural sector. The KINDERMUSEUM - Museum in a Suitcase receives 2,000 euros for the hands-on module “Building Bridges” as part of the mobile Roman museum education project. The project introduces schoolchildren to the fascinating world of Roman architectural history in an entertaining and exciting way. Elisabeth Blumthaler, curator of the Mobile Museum in a Suitcase, is delighted with the support.
The St. Markus Protestant kindergarten receives the sum of 1,600 euros to purchase a new nest basket for the existing nest swing. The old nest basket was damaged and could no longer be repaired. The head of the kindergarten, Anita Ivanisevic, would like to express her sincere thanks for the funding.
The “Family Sponsorships” project of the ISKA, Institute for Social and Cultural Work, turned 20 years old. The ISKA received 1,500 euros to draw attention to the service and the anniversary. The Nuremberg City Mission's parenting, couples and life counseling centre is delighted to have received 1,200 euros. The money will be used to install hammocks, which are very important for the work of the counseling center. Elisabeth Rümenapf, head of the counseling center, accepted the grant.
The Nordostbahnhof children's and youth center, known as NOB for short, is receiving 1,200 euros to purchase five Samsung Galaxy tablets for its German courses. The previous equipment is no longer sufficient due to the high demand. Clara-Maria Hof, head of the student meeting point, expresses her thanks for the donation.
