As is a good tradition, the ceremony took place in the representative rooms of "Nürnberger Altstadt" in the Kreuzgassenviertel. Over coffee and cake, more than just personal congratulations were offered: those celebrating 50 years of tenancy received a gift basket, those celebrating 60 years a discount of one month's rent and those celebrating 65 years a discount of one and a half months' rent.
A total of 66 tenants were honored this year:
- 42 tenants for 50 years of contract
- 16 tenants for 60 years of contract duration
- 8 tenants for 65 years of contract duration
The long-term loyalty of these tenants is a special sign of trust. Wbg division manager Frank Stücker emphasizes: "The numerous anniversaries impressively show how strong the bond is between our tenants and wbg. Anyone who has lived in a wbg apartment for half a century or more finds more than just a roof over their head there ‒ they find a home. This loyalty makes us both grateful and proud."
The tenant ceremony is one of wbg's most traditional events and will continue to recognize those who have remained part of the wbg family for decades.
