Three young kestrels hatched

After a considerable delay, a pair of kestrels moved into the Mögeldorf housing complex of wbg Nürnberg GmbH Immobilienunternehmen at Easter. For the second year, the birds can be observed via webcam and now also an outdoor camera.

The kestrel couple moved in on 19 April, eventually laying three eggs. The last chick left its egg yesterday, on 19 June.

The webcam at wbg.nuernberg.de/bei-der-wbg-leben/unser-turmfalke

now allows interested parties to watch the chicks being fed and growing up live around the clock.

“We are very pleased that the new kestrel pair has laid three eggs this year and has now also successfully hatched its young. Since the peregrine falcons have left their nest at the castle, we now have a nice opportunity to observe the smaller kestrels here”, explains wbg press spokesman Dieter Barth on the occasion of the hatching of all three chicks.
