Around € 31,500 are going to eight different institutions

The bodies of the wbg 2000 Foundation have approved a sum of € 31,500 for a total of eight very different institutions and organisations. The donation cheques are being handed over by Frank Thyroff, Chairman of the Board of the wbg 2000 Foundation.

we integrate e. V. is receiving € 9,000 for interpreter costs as part of the “we support” programme. The goal of the programme is to promote refugee integration. Project Managers Miriam Degmayr and Nimna Gerezghihier are accepting the funding.

The project “Inclusive mobility – transportation trike for four persons” by Lebenshilfe Nürnberg e. V. is receiving € 6,000 in funding. The money will be used to purchase a wheeled carriage that can be used to transport up to four persons. Deputy Chair of the Executive Board Herrmann Lechner receives the donation cheque.

DEGRIN e. V. will receive € 6,000 for the project “Heroes – Against oppression in the name of honour”. During the project, young men from migrant backgrounds coming from so-called “cultures of honour” stand up against oppression in the name of honour and equality. Ramona Nürnberger, Project Manager for HEROES Nürnberg (DEGRIN e. V.), and participant Ateia Mahmod receive the donation cheque.

mudra e. V. will receive funding of € 5,000 to expand and modernise its IT area. This will allow mudra to update its technical and organisational equipment. mudra employee Max Hopperdietzel is glad to receive the donation cheque.

Funding in the amount of € 2,000  will go to Theater Zwangsvorstellung e. V. for the project “TRIGGER – Nuremberg festival for politics and human rights in theatre and performance”. The focus of the project is on the intersections between human rights, protecting those rights, and resulting calls for empowerment, diversity, and democracy. Festival Manager Jörg René Hundsdorfer participates in the award ceremony.

Kinderhaus Kiste Kirchenweg e. V. will receive € 1,500 in funding to purchase a sun sail. The new sun sail will protect children from exposure to excessive UV rays outdoors, and create a comfortable area for them to play. Chief Executives Christine Radsack and Kathrin Rosenberg receive the donation check.

The Bund der Pfadfinder/innen e. V., Sigena troupe, is receiving € 1,500 for a construction project in which the young scouts will be putting fresh insulation into the new scout building themselves. Enora Müller is glad to be receiving the donation cheque.

Hilfe daheim Krankenpflege St. Willibald e. V. is receiving funding of € 500 to purchase bicycle accessories to upgrade its vehicle fleet.

Executive Board member Petra Jürgens and Managing Director Clemens Preiß receive the funding.

“With today’s payout, we have once again supported an entire series of sensible, good projects for the benefit of Nuremberg’s urban society. Some have already been realised, others are yet to come, but all deserve financial support. We are pleased that we, the wbg 2000 Foundation, have been able to help in so many places”, explains Frank Thyroff.
