The award ceremony for the DW Future Prize took place on 20 June at a ceremony in Heidelberg.
Through its value-oriented corporate management and innovative organisational design, wbg Nürnberg has created a working environment that enables employees to be autonomous and take on responsibility. The continuous and structured process, which has been implemented for over ten years, retains and attracts committed and creative employees. The focus is on health and well-being in the workplace as well as work-life balance.
The "new office worlds" were a highlight
Highlights included the project work for the "New Office Worlds" in collaboration with junior managers and a cross-hierarchical participation process using agile scrum methodology, which contributed to sustainable change. Axel Gedaschko, President of the GdW Bundesverband deutscher Wohnungs- und Immobilienunternehmen e.V., emphasised the importance of an attractive working environment: "The award winners show how it is possible to build a strong and harmonious relationship between managers and employees and thus put the entire company on the road to success."
The Managing Director of wbg Nürnberg, Ralf Schekira, said at the award ceremony: "We are delighted that our integral and participative approach is setting the course for the future of the company on the one hand and is also recognised by the DW Future Prize on the other. We are particularly proud to have received this prestigious award for the second time."
